THE IMORRIANS

The IMORRIANS are a warp-capable species native to the G-class planet GJ-8431-III. They are bipedal, biomechanical Humanoids that are without gender. First Contact with the Imorrians occurred in 2393, and have been good relations ever since.

The Imorrians were 'founded' when a living alien probe crashed onto their homeworld some 3,000 years ago. This probe fused with the primitive inhabitants of the planet, creating a new race of beings. These primitive Imorrians quickly began to adopt biomechanical components into their bodies, upgrading themselves as and when they were able from parts scavenged from other space debris. In time, this led to the Imorrians being renowned for their ability to recycle and reintegrate broken machinery and computer systems. When First Contact with the Federation occurred, trade in mechanical and computer parts gave the Immorians a new lease of life, and in the aftermath of the Seventh War of Retribution, many Imorrians worked with Starfleet to assist in the repair of battle-damaged starships. Their assistance was valuable in helping the Federation launch its next generation of starships in the aftermath of that conflict.

Although their numbers are small (less than 140 million on their homeworld), the Imorrians are today a valuable ally of the Federation.
