Sitting at the lab console Thomas rubbed his forehead before stretching out his fingers and slamming his hands down on the table itself. Standing up he began a routine of stretching his neck and shoulders shifting his wings as much as he could while they were restrained. Sliding his hand through his hair he turned back to the console before shaking his head.

“I’m a xenobiologist by study but for some reason this is escaping me,” he stated turning to Cade who at the moment was joining him via a video feed from sickbay where he declared that he was needed in case of medical emergency.

“I’m no engineer wingboy,” Cade commented before spinning in his chair and propping his feet upon the desk, “didn’t you get this gig by a rather happy and might I say well…”

Holding his hand up Thomas looked at Cade narrowing his eyes, “get to the point.”

“The giggle brigade that conned you into doing this had an engineer,” Cade replied leaning into the screen, “and might I add the woman you’re exploring beneath the sheets is one as well.”

“Cade, for the last time leave Sylvia out of this,” Thomas stated turning and rubbing the back of his head, “I am avoiding contacting them for personal reasons.”

Cade’s face quickly began to glow with a hidden glee and seemed to shine brighter as Thomas turned noticing it, “oh do tell.”

Sighing and shaking his head Thomas took a deep breath, “how long ago did you contact them?”

“Oh, long enough that they would arrive just about,” Cade stated stopping hearing the lab door opening and Thomas sighing again, “move birdboy I can’t see the show.”

“You can’t be serious,” Stacy stated looking at the console along with the others while Thomas paced back and forth. "How the heck can a person be in Starfleet for a decade and be incarcerated in a Federation facility for another decade and have next to nothing on them?"

Shaking his head Thomas took a deep breath before turning back to the screen where Cade was still broadcasting from his office, “She probably deleted a lot of them. She has to be pretty good with computers to not leave a digital trail, I bet she wiped the information to prevent people from doing exactly what we're doing. Cade, you are sure that there are no other medical files in regards to Selyara?”

Cade nodded, “listen birdboy, I have been through the files that we were able to obtain before we went all robin hood and his merry men.”

Stacy’s face seemed to lighten up before looking at Thomas and nudging Cindy, “tights, mhmm.”

Thomas’ face dropped at the comment before shaking his head again and turning to the duo behind him. Cindy’s face had flushed slightly at the mention of Thomas in tights before Thomas interrupted unknown thoughts of Stacy, “we still need to be able to locate her.”

“I don’t see how we will accomplish that without a current or accurate biological profile,” Cindy stated looking over the information.

Waving his hand Thomas sighed, “a complete biological profile will not be necessary; but, it would make things a whole lot easier. I'm betting she hasn't had time to wipe things only tangentially related to herself, so we might have another way if we think laterally. Cade is there any medical information that we have in regards to her parents?"

Cade turned to his console quickly looking, "I have a medical workup of them from a symposium on inter species genetic compatibility."

"Are there genetic sequences from both mother and father," Thomas asked keying a sequence of information to compile for Cindy to begin building a program.

"Yes, but unfortunately no diploid cells, the researchers were more interested in gametes and fertilization than they were in the parents. The good news is they did artificially model the process of fertilization in a selection of the gametes, so we have some theoretical models of how their genes might have combined and been expressed in viable offspring, but we don't know if we have a full genetic suite."

"I love it when you talk dirty and try to cover it up with science," Stacy chirruped, chin in hand, winking flirtatiously at Cade. "Just say it, the study was about sex."

Thomas blushed a bright red. Stacy was uncomfortably forward, especially when it came to bodily functions.

"That's a little simplistic, my dear." Cade gave her a charming smile, which offset the slightly patronizing tone in which he said it.

"Well, science never was my thing, doctor. Perhaps you could give me a refresher course in biology?" Her tone was so innocent it crossed right back over the line smack dab into sultry.

"Merde! Stacy will you cut that out? You're only encouraging him, and distracting poor Thomas." Cindy muttered to her friend.

"He's incorrigible, and I feel the need to incorrige him," Stacy quipped.

Shaking his head Thomas continued his work before turning rubbing his chin, "I wonder. Computer, using the genetic information that we have on the Vulcan and Betazed subjects and a photo of their child could you extrapolate a theoretical genetic physiology?"

[[Extrapolation will require the user to input parameters for several variables that are not able to be determined visually. Proceed?]]

Nodding as if the computer could see him Thomas stretched his back, “begin.”

“Now mind you, it won’t be specific about where she is to the exact point; but, it will let you know when she is in the vicinity which would mean anywhere from right in front of you to about two hundred yards away,” Thomas stated looking at Solomon who was examining the device which resembled a flatter tricorder and a padd combined.

“Two hundred yards is not a very large radius,” Solomon responded placing the scanner down.

Rubbing the back of his neck Thomas nodded, “we understood that it would be limited when it was finished as a prototype. There was and is an option being developed to tie it with the ships sensor; but, having the ship scan all of Limbo might set off some alarms. I would just caution anyone who uses it because of what we've been told about her abilities, this device will not stop them.”

Solomon looked up and nodded before turning to the available personnel that was in the lab, “have we made any headway on that dilemma?”

The group looked around before shaking their heads and handing Solomon a padd with what little information they had to go on and found. Reading the information Solomon sighed softly before handing it back and nodding in understanding.

“Mr. Varn, you have been a great help; but, I would like to request your assistance once again,” Solomon stated clearly.

Thomas held up his hand and nodded, “I’ll take the device and begin the search.”

Solomon shook his head, “thank you but that will not be necessary. I will present this to the captain and then see who will utilize the device. I would ask that you assist in any efforts to help find a way to inhibit telepathic abilities such as we are told our subject has.”

Thomas nodded his eyes changing slightly to a hue of blue and purple showing his concern for whomever would have the device. Taking in a deep breath he looked around at the lab before taking a copy of the telepathic information onto a padd he had from his work with the sensor. Turning he smiled softly before heading for the door.

“Oh Mr. Varn,” Solomon called out quickly stopping Thomas at the door, “thank you my friend.”

Thomas smiled, “you’re welcome.”
